Level design on Natural Selection 2's Refinery map. I was the main level designer on this level, taking the project from initial gameplay design and early block-outs, all the way through art tests, detailing and set-dressing, lighting, and final polish work. This was an especially interesting one to work on as it went through many revisions in order to achieve a level that matched original concepts but also worked within NS2's tight balance requirements, given the asymmetrical teams. Includes level design work by Oli Hobbs and Liam Tart, plus ongoing work by the current NS2 team after we left the project.
Natural Selection 2 is an immersive, multiplayer shooter that pits aliens against humans in a strategic and action-packed struggle for survival. It seamlessly combines a shooter/FPS gameplay with a strategy (RTS) game.
